dccproc increments.. dccifd doesn't

hi list,

i've been playing with dccproc and dccifd,
and for some reason dccifd never increments the CMN settings (i.e. BODY,
FUZ1, FUZ2) in the output header line

here's an example (i'm just using the dccif-test binary from the dccifd
folder):
./dccif-test -o 'header' -I ./mailfile
X-DCC-sonic.net-Metrics: matttest.nwtech.net 1156; bulk Body=0 Fuz1=61
        Fuz2=64
overall result = R

[root@matttest dccif-test]# ./dccif-test -o 'header' -I ./mailfile
X-DCC-sonic.net-Metrics: matttest.nwtech.net 1156; bulk Body=0 Fuz1=61
        Fuz2=64
overall result = R

[root@matttest dccif-test]# dccproc -H -i ./mailfile -c CMN,1,1
log thresholds set with -c but no -l directory
X-DCC-sonic.net-Metrics: matttest.nwtech.net 1156; bulk Body=1 Fuz1=62
        Fuz2=65
[root@matttest dccif-test]# dccproc -H -i ./mailfile -c CMN,1,1
log thresholds set with -c but no -l directory
X-DCC-sonic.net-Metrics: matttest.nwtech.net 1156; bulk Body=2 Fuz1=63
        Fuz2=66

as you can see dccproc will increment Body,Fuz1, and Fuz2, but dccifd
will not..
here's the part of my config file dealing with dccifd:
DCCIFD_ENABLE=on
# used to start dccifd
#   a common value is
#   DCCIFD_ARGS="-SHELO -Smail_host -SSender -SList-ID"
DCCIFD_ARGS=
#DCCIFD_LOGDIR="$DCCM_LOGDIR"
DCCIFD_LOGDIR="/var/mailenforcer/dcclog"
DCCIFD_WHITECLNT="$DCCM_WHITECLNT"
DCCIFD_USERDIRS="$DCCM_USERDIRS"
#DCCIFD_LOG_AT="$DCCM_LOG_AT"
#DCCIFD_REJECT_AT="$DCCM_REJECT_AT"
DCCIFD_LOG_AT=1
DCCIFD_REJECT_AT=1
# override basic list of checksums controlling rejections or logging
#DCCIFD_CKSUMS="$DCCM_CKSUMS"
DCCIFD_CKSUMS=
# additional DCC server checksums worthy of rejections or logging
#DCCIFD_XTRA_CKSUMS="$DCCM_XTRA_CKSUMS"
DCCIFD_XTRA_CKSUMS=

# days to keep files in DCC log directories
DBCLEAN_LOGDAYS=2
# used to start dbclean, including -e and -E
DBCLEAN_ARGS=

any suggestions? i'm at a loss...

thanks,

Matt
