Yes, if you omit -t or use -tALL,NEVER 
dccifd will only say A, G, or T.

In general, it is better to use /var/dcc/dcc_conf to control the
parameters for the DCC daemons and to start (or stop) them with
`/var/dcc/libexec/rcDCC start` (or `rcDCC stop`)
Second best is to use /var/dcc/libexec/{start-dccd, start-grey,
start-dccifd, start-dccm, or stop-dccd}
