[repost: guess i used the wrong adress before]

hi,

i still have a problem with some syslog entries comming from dccproc /
dccifd. offten it works well, like this example:

spamd[18930]: debug: DCCifd is not available: no r/w dccifd socket found.
spamd[18930]: debug: DCC is available: /local/home/milter/dcc/bin/dccproc
spamd[18930]: debug: entering helper-app run mode
spamd[18930]: debug: DCC: got response:
X-DCC-sgs_public_dcc_server-Metrics: machine 1199; Body=1 Fuz1=1 Fuz2=many
spamd[18930]: debug: leaving helper-app run mode
spamd[18930]: debug: DCC: Listed! BODY: 1 of
999999 FUZ1: 1 of 999999 FUZ2: 999999 of 999999

but offten enough i get those:

spamd[18710]: debug: DCCifd is not available: no r/w dccifd socket found.
spamd[18710]: debug: DCC is available: /local/home/milter/dcc/bin/dccproc
spamd[18710]: debug: entering helper-app run mode
dccproc[18713]: [ID 349477 mail.error] missing message body; fatal error
dccproc[18713]: [ID 349477 mail.error] missing message body; fatal error
spamd[18710]: debug: DCC: got response: missing message body; fatal error
spamd[18710]: debug: leaving helper-app run mode
spamd[18710]: debug: DCC -> check failed: no
X-DCC returned (did you create a map file?): missing message body; fatal error

those "missing message body; fatal error" - should i just ignore those
messages?

now the dccifd behavior:

dccifd[3408]: [ID 528926 mail.error] missing message body
dccifd[3408]: [ID 528926 mail.error] missing message body
spamd[15366]: DCCifd -> check skipped: Permission
denied Died at /opt/gnu/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/Mail/SpamAssassin/Dns.pm line 638.

the "Permission denied ..." error i only get running spamd w/o the -D
(Debug); those "missing message body" gets shown in any case.
there is really no body within that specific message (seen by looking into
the logged messages in $dcc_home/log ).

may i also just ignore this?

i'm runing solaris 5.8, perl 5.8.0. Those error messages are not version
specific. i also got them with earlier version of dcc and sa too.

any idea ?

regards,
Matthias
