dccm aborting

I'm testing dccm on my system and I'm having a problem were it aborts.
Sometimes it will run 15+ hours, sometimes just a few minutes. I'm
running 1.1.36 on BSD/OS 4.2 with Sendmail 8.12.9. The command line is:

/var/dcc/libexec/dccm -W -S mail_host -l H?log -t CMN,50, -w whiteclnt -U userdirs

The logs look like:

There does seem to always be at least one message about smfi_chgheader
around the time of the abort. But those messages also appear without
dccm aborting.

Any clues to what I should look at?

Thanks,

->Spike
