Unless you are really short of disk space, I think it is easiest to
fetch http://www.rhyolite.com/anti-spam/dcc/source/dccd.tar.Z or
http://www.dcc-servers.net/dcc/source/dccd.tar.Z
and not worry about the extra a.out file in the DCC libexec directory.

I use variations of a script to maintain half a dozen systems.
I hack http://www.rhyolite.com/anti-spam/dcc/newdcc
or http://www.dcc-servers.net/dcc/newdcc
to contain the right local ./configure and other paramters.
