Strange thing started up after I installed 1.1.35. It's still working just fine, catching all the spam as it should--it's just truncating the error message that gets sent with the 550 bounce. Sample from Sendmail log (lines broken artificially for legibility): h3F96hwa026608 - - - - - - - Apr 15 05:07:02 yetta sendmail[26608]: h3F96hwa026608: from=<bjhann@hotkey.net.au>, size=1666, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<HDDO0Z00.400@msg.patac.com.cn>, proto=ESMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=[202.109.102.215] Apr 15 05:07:02 yetta sendmail[26608]: h3F96hwa026608: Milter: data, reject=550 5.7.1 -S Apr 15 05:07:02 yetta sendmail[26608]: h3F96hwa026608: to=<bertha@yetta.net>, delay=00:00:14, pri=30479, stat=-S Normally on that second line, where it gives the reject=550 message, it includes a little message about suspected spam, and a link to a yetta.net page explaining in more detail. The line in the dcc_conf is: DCCM_ARGS='-r -S "5.7.1. 550 Suspected spam; mail refused. See http://yetta.net/rejected_mail.html#dcc"'. Anyone else noticing this problem, or is it just me? It's not a critical issue, as so far DCC hasn't caught any false positives other than Nextel pages and spammers don't read the 5xx error messages. (Half the time they don't even recognize 5xx to mean "permanent delivery failure.") -Bertha -- The beatings will continue until morale improves. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
