Mail from the following 2965 domains is not welcome at Rhyolite Software. as of Wed Feb 1 14:23:53 UTC 2012, because of objectionable mail supposedly from, about, or otherwise associated with them and sent to mailboxes for which I'm responsible. The objectionable quality of the mail is often but not always that it is unsolicited bulk email or spam. Legal threats are also objectionable. Mail from some domains is unwelcome because the owners of those domains appear to be aiding senders of objectionable mail with services such as DNS.
All suggestions for additions to this list from people who are not users of Rhyolite Software mailboxes are ignored. This policy has much to recommend it starting with its utility as a defense against legal threats by spammers. Barring errors and mistakes, I have evidence in the form of objectionable messages for every entry in the list. Copies of some of that evidence can be found with Google queries for the domain name.
There are only three reasons for removing an entry this from list:
The breadth of this list should convince any sane person that this list cannot be used anywhere except at Rhyolite Software and might reasonably show it should not be used here.
This list is published only to suggest that other arrangements be made for legitmate mail sent from these domains. This list is used to block mail automatically only to Rhyolite Software, LLC and associated enterprises. Entries can be expected to remain in this list until evidence is found that the listing was in error or until there is a compelling need for addresses at Rhyolite Software, LLC to receive mail from the listed domain name. Because there are few email users at Rhyolite Software, LLC, that is unlikely. Despite that, there have been some objections to this list.
This list is not recommended for use elsewhere as a junk mail filter. Consider instead DCC and DCC Reputations.
Most requests that domain names be removed from this list are not seen by a person but are ignored if seen. Legal or other threats and demands that are particularly silly or foolishly dishonest will be published in the list of objections to this list.
