Bob Quat and plasticenvelopes.com

February 15, 2005

On February 15, 2005, Bob Quat of Eric Industries sent this objection to the presence of plasticenvelopes.com in the Rhyolite Software, LLC list of unwelcome domains and IP addresses.

That entry exists because of this unsolicited, unwanted bulk advertising mail or spam. That dccm logdir file has been slightly censored to hide the "spam trap" to which it was also addressed to prevent "list washing." The thought of that "spam trap" requesting information about plastic mailing or shipping envelopes is as amusing as it is entirely implausible.

Judging from the Google NANAS record, Mr. Quat hired a fairly broad spam spew.

In his objection, Mr. Qaut says We do not spam in any shape or form. That may be true, but only in a "spam is that which we do not do" or in plausibly deniable sense.

Other questions are answered in the list of objections about entries in the Rhyolite Software, LLC list of unwelcome domains.
