Gavin Landon and geeksatwork.com

Gavin Landon has sent this request concerning the presence of geeksatwork.com in the Rhyolite Software list of unwelcome domains.

That listing exists because of this unsolicited bulk email and this additional spam captured in dccm logdir files. (See also the DCC documentation.) These news.admin.net-abuse.sightings reports may be related to that spam.

Two months after the initial objection, this additional message appeared in a dccm logdir file.

This campaign in news.admin.net-abuse.email seems related to Mr. Landon's request. I would feel more favorably disposed to his request if he had not repeatedly made statements in that campaign that I consider knowingly false. I do not believe his claims of ignorance or innocence.

Regardless of my impression of his forthrightness and in response to Mr. Landon's request, domains that have sent unsolicited bulk mail to addresses at rhyolite.com do remain "banned for life" from rhyolite.com or until someone at Rhyolite Software finds a reason to receive mail from them.

Please note that the Rhyolite Software list of unwelcome domains is used only to block mail at Rhyolite Software. The list is necessary to inform users of the listed domains that they must use means other than email from listed domains to communicate with people at Rhyolite Software.

Other questions are answered in the list of objections about entries in the Rhyolite Software list of unwelcome domains.
