Unwelcome IP Addresses

Mail from the following IP addresses is not welcome at rhyolite.com, generally because of apparently associations with unsolicited bulk mail or spam. Those associations are often no more than being numerically close to IP addresses from which unsolicited advertising has been sent.

This list is not recommended for use elsewhere as a junk mail filter. Consider instead DCC and DCC Reputations. This list is not a public DNS blacklist (DNSBL). This list is published only to suggest that other arrangements be made for legitmate mail sent from these domains. This list is used to block mail automatically only to Rhyolite Software, LLC and associated enterprises.

There are only three reasons for removing an entry this from list:

1. a significant mistake among the reasons for adding the entry,
2. a need among local users to receive mail from a listed domain,
3. believable information that a listed domain name has changed hands. (You might (not) be surprised at the obvious lies I've been sent.)

Mail from these IP addresses may appear to be received by the MX server for rhyolite.com, but is actually reported to a DCC server with a count of MANY, logged, and discarded. Someone may see mail from unwelcome IP addresses in the logs, but it is best to assume the logs will not be read before being automatically purged.
