Stephen Paulin and DevelopersKingdom.com

October 2, 2002 Objection

Stephen Paulin says in this message that he has "never sent SPAM or bulk mailings." That claim is similar to the the familar "You are not on a mailing list" assurance in this unsolicited "Advertising" message. That message certainly looks like part of a "bulk mailing."

We exchanged some mail:

After Mr. Paulin's wonderful fourth message, I finally followed my standard policy of listing all of the domain names that I know belong to a sender of unsolicited bulk mail and added spextreme.com. His fourth message is wonderful, because it shows he thinks that as long as he doesn't hit any single target with more than one copy of his unsolicited bulk mail, then it is not spam.

I was finally moved to promote Mr. Paulin's objections to the list of objections by his amusing claim that because he hits each of his spam targets only once, I erred in adding developerskingdom.com to the Rhyolite Software list of unwelcome domains. I assume that my supposed mistake is related to his care in not sending any single target more than a single copy of his unsolicited bulk mail.

Contact vjs@rhyolite.com but not this spam trap.
